If you have had a chance to browse through this website you may begin to recognize what value in both comfort and energy savings a ComfortMaxx Certified System can offer. Now you can recognize that unless your heating and cooling system is properly maintained it may not be reaching its peak performance capabilities.
When your system is properly maintained, adjusted and tested on a regular basis by a Certified ComfortMaxx Contractor™, you can continue to enjoy the peak energy savings and comfort your system is capable of providing. There are also a couple of simple things you can do to help ensure year-round peak performance:
Keeping your system clean
Make sure your outdoor unit is clean and free of obstructions or debris. Remove any weeds, vines or other vegetation that may be growing too close to the outdoor unit. If you're in heavy pollen or ragweed area, your ComfortMaxx contractor may need to perform an additional cleaning from time to time. Do not attempt to wash your outdoor unit?s coil with a high-pressure hose or pressure washer as this could irreparably damage the equipment.
Change the filter
If you have a replaceable indoor filter, be sure to replace it at the recommended intervals. A dirty filter can increase utility costs by as much as 20%.
Monitor your system
If you notice any deterioration in system performance, higher utility bills or reduced comfort, be sure to contact your ComfortMaxx™ contractor. A number of factors could cause these symptoms including component failure and damaged ducts. Duct damage can occur during the course of cable TV repairs, pest control, alarm installation, insulation upgrades and so forth. To ensure peak performance, optimal savings and comfort, you may want to explore a service agreement with your Certified ComfortMaxx Contractor™. These agreements generally include two annual visits along with other benefits such as priority service, discounts on repairs and accessories and more. Check with your installing contractor for more details.
